Venetian Red Eyeshadow

This is a sophisticated look relies on a finely judged application of crayon and powder. Too little makeup will look ineffective; too much will look overdone.
It will suit any complexion, but choose the shade carefully to match your clothes and jewellery. Heavy gold earrings like those shown here work particularly well and, if your hair is long enough, sweep it well away from your face to make the most of your dazzling eyes. Balance the makeup with a bright red lipstick, but use a more muted shade for your blusher with a matte foundation.
If it is hard to obtain eye crayons, you can use the non toxic children’s crayons or a red lip pencil. Powder over the crayon as you would powder over your foundation, but make sure that the cotton does not stick to your eyelid or attach itself to your eyelashes. For highlighter, you could use a small amount of pink or silver.
- First, apply red crayon to upper lid and blend upwards
- Apply red eyeshadow to upper lid with cotton pad
- Apply a small amount of brown shadow underneath eye with wet brush
